Sustainable + Attainable Building Systems
Familia Verde helps small building owners plan practical pathways for electrified heating, cooling, hot water, and building performance compliance before costly equipment decisions are locked in.
Small building and residential property owners are dealing with aging systems, volatile utility costs, and new building compliance requirements. Too often, compliance, incentives, and equipment replacement are handled separately. Familia Verde helps bring those decisions together before money is spent in the wrong order.
What Familia Verde Does:
-
Understand the building, existing systems, compliance exposure, and potential upgrade options.
-
Connect incentives, capital planning, ownership models, and system choices into a practical roadmap.
-
Coordinate the required designers, contractors, manufacturers, finance partners, and public-sector resources.
Navigating Energize Denver? Start with a Plan.
The best first step isn’t buying new equipment, it’s understanding your options.
Familia Verde provides no-cost building pathway visits for qualifying small buildings, helping owners understand how Energize Denver, aging systems, incentives, and future replacement decisions may fit together.
Beyond Like-for-Like
Geothermal is not just another equipment choice. It is a way to move part of the building’s heating and cooling investment into long-lived infrastructure.
-
Ground-source systems rely on stable underground temperatures, helping reduce exposure to fuel-price swings and inefficient peak-season operation.
-
A ground-source heat exchange system can support multiple generations of mechanical equipment, reducing the need to rethink the entire heating and cooling strategy every time equipment fails.
-
Water-source heat pumps, thermal storage, and thermal energy networks can help buildings prepare for electrification, performance standards, and future utility programs without starting from scratch each time.
Seeking Strong Pilot Buildings
Familia Verde is looking for early pilot project candidates with strong technical, financial, and community value. Ideal projects include small multifamily, affordable housing, supportive housing, and buildings with existing hydronic heating systems.
Hi, I’m Ryan Green.
Co-Founder of Familia Verde.
Hi, I’m Ryan Green, co-founder of Familia Verde with my amazing wife, Grecia. I bring 15 years of experience in commercial HVAC, hot water systems, hydronics, energy recovery, and ground-source heat pumps. Grecia brings the heart behind the mission: helping the people and communities that are too often left out of the conversation access better, more practical solutions. Together, we created Familia Verde to close the gap between promising building technologies and real projects; and to do our part to leave this place better than we found it for our two boys.
